Spice-Rubbed Grilled Shrimp
Ingredients
1 teaspoon brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
40 medium size raw peeled and deviened shrimp
4 bamboo skewers
1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

Mix spice rub using the first seven ingredients. Set aside.
Rinse shrimp thoroughly.
Thread ten shrimp on each of the four skewers.
Pat skewers dry with papertowel then drizzle with olive oil, coating both sides of shrimp.
Sprinkle spice mixture over shrimp, coating well. Gently rub spices into shrimp.
Grill indoors or out for approximately 4 to 8 minutes, depending on grill heat, turning once.
Remove skewers from grill as soon as shrimp turns opaque. Do not over cook.
